PET / CT Scan
Positron Emission Tomography with Computed Tomography is a nuclear medicine imaging test that uses radioactive isotopes to detect differences in the metabolism of various tissues. PET-CT produces a three dimensional image of functional processes within the body. PET-CT is often used to differentiate between healthy and abnormal tissue.

CT Scan
A Cat Scan is a series of detailed pictures of areas inside the body taken from different angles. The pictures are created by a computer that is linked to an x-ray machine. The computerized xray machine produces cross-sectional images of the body. The images are far more detailed than x-ray films, and can reveal disease or abnormalities in tissue and bone. This is also called computerized axial tomography (CAT) scan

Digital Mammography
Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine breasts. A mammography exam, called a mammogram, is used to aid in the diagnosis of breast diseases in women. Digital mammography is a mammography system in which the x-ray film is replaced by solid-state detectors that convert x-rays into electrical signals. These detectors are similar to those found in digital cameras. The electrical signals are used to produce images of the breast that can be seen on a computer screen. Computer-aided detection (CAD) systems uses computer software to search for abnormal areas of density, mass, or calcification that may indicate the presence of cancer. The CAD system highlights these areas on the images, alerting the radiologist to the need for further analysis.

Fluoroscopy is used to provide moving picture X-RAYs. A continuous xray beam is passed through the body part being examined. The X-RAY is transmitted to a monitor to show the motion of the body part in detail. Fluoroscopy is beneficial in viewing the movement of joints or organ systems.

Breast Tomosynthesis
Breast tomosynthesis converts digital breast images into a stack of very thin layers to create a 3-dimensional mammogram that helps find very small cancers or rule out “false positives”. This additional screening tool has been proven to reduce the amount of women who are called back for a diagnostic mammogram. This “high-powered computing system takes multiple breast images in just seconds without adding any additional time to your exam.
